God hears us when we pray

In the last while, God has been answering many prayers. The first one was for Philip (Bob and Chris's son). I shared with you that he was having seizures and that he was having a few each week. Well, Praise God! Philip has not had a seizure for over a month.

I had also asked you all to pray for a leader that we will be working with. He had been to the Doctor and it was suspected that he had cancer. When he went back for the results from the test, he was told there was no cancer, Praise God!

About three weeks ago, I sent some prayer requests from the Khmu leaders. One of the prayer request was about the orange orchard located next door to one of the pastors that we will be working with. The owner of the orchard was using a lot of pesticides that was making a lot of this pastors family and others sick. Just after I found out about this, a church heard about this situation and bought the land. I am not sure what they will do with the land, but I am sure they will not be spraying all those pesticides.

Thanks for your prayers, God hears us when we pray.

Vancouver Island

This last weekend I spent with my good friends, Peter and Bronwyn, who live on Vancouver Island. Being I do not have too many free weekends left before I leave in May, I made the journey to the Island.
At first, we had planned to camp on Galliano Island, but due to the bad weather, we decided to cancel the camping trip and just hang out for weekend in Victoria.
My goal was to catch the 1:00 ferry from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, Victoria as a foot passenger. After missing the 1:00 ferry and having to catch the 3:00, I finally arrived in Swartz Bay. As the day went on, the weather started to change from rain to SUNSHINE!!!!!! That night we decided that on Sunday we would head off to East Sooke Park on the Island. This park was right on the ocean and Gods beauty was everywhere. We hiked along the beach for a while and then took the trail through the woods. I felt like I was back on the West Coast Trail. Even though it was and still is a nice park, the park had received a lot of damage from the winter storms we had. Some of the trees had fallen over with all their roots exposed, while others were snapped off like toothpicks. We do truly live in a beautiful part of the world!

Lost Lake

... and was it lost, or at least we were for a bit. The storms we had a while back really made a mess of Sumas mountain. My buddy Jon and I went to hike to Lost lake, and what should have taken us under two hours turned out to be a bit longer and you can see why by the pics. Yes it was raining, but that's expected here in Abbotsford. It was still worth it and we did make it to Lost lake.

The last stretch...

Team Thailand (H4T)

Well on Saturday I moved out of the Mark Center where I was living for the past two months with my team as well as with the Trek Team (9 young adults who are heading out for the next three and a half months to Mexico and Egypt on short term missions). The time together was so good. We spent a lot of time laughing, praying, reading, learning, sharing, with the shedding of some tears too. God really used this time for His glory. Now that I look back I can totally see why we stayed back longer. This was a vital part to our preparation as a team.
Below are some of the memories that were made. During the sessions I did not take any pics but if I had, there would be a bunch of different speakers as well, Steve Lightle, Steve Klassen, Esther Corbett and the list goes on and on...If any of you are reading this, "Thank you for adding to my life".
